"Drying Time"
Art Title:
"Drying Time"
Oil Painting
Stu and Tornie MacKay
3rd Floor, Cath Lab Hallway

Evelyn Sissom is a native of Tennessee and has been an active part of the Cookeville art community. Her oil paintings feature subject matter that is familiar to people in this region: landscapes depicting the different seasons, old buildings, barns and objects that are softened by age and reminiscent of times gone by. The techniques Sissom uses in her paintings produce high degrees of representation, with textures painstakingly produced.

The painting in CRMC’s collection, "Drying Time," captures the look, feel and even smell of tobacco drying in a barn.
