Chuck Jensen was born in Illinois, spent 32 years in California, then moved to Virginia. His career as the designer of restaurants and hotels kept him involved in visual art, and when he retired and moved to Crossville in 2009, he pursued a career as a painter. His work is represented by a gallery in the Crossville Mall, where he maintains a studio.
Jensen describes his work: “I am interested in popular personalities that have enriched the lives of all Americans. My artwork combines cartoon-like qualities in extremely vibrant colors equal to the musical personalities portrayed in some of my canvases. Most of my paintings are large in order to magnify the larger-than-life personalities illustrated.”
